It is very frustrating to have to deal with people such as "Not Important". They are just not bright enough to have basic respect for others. But then, they might be young and able to change over time. Sometimes I think some of us need to be more tolerant, even to those such as "Not Important", because we are better than they are, we are brighter than they are. I have been through stages when I got easily upset and use words such as "ass", "scumbag", "F@#$", etc. to assault others. But I learn and evolve, and I think as the world gets smaller, eventually everyone in this world is a family member, and we need to treat others just like brothers and sisters. If you show disrespect to others, you will get the same treatment back, so it's not good for yourself. I always like what Ben Parker said to Peter before he died: With great power, comes great responsibility. If one has more power, he/she can punish bad guys, but a more gracious move should be to show your honor, educate and guide those young and impulsive people, to make them better citizens. I think people such as "Not Important" are capable of respecting others, refraining from using vulgar languages. They just need us to give them a chance.

As far as I can tell this website is a win-win situation and preserves the ideal of free informatrion (or art or ideas)on the internet. People upload pictures to the site and the webmaster gets to manage a great collection of contortionnpics. Good for him. People also have access to that collection for free. Good for them. More importantly, for those artists who ARE dependent on the revenuye from their images, the webmaster is diligent in honoring copyrights and removing such material on request. As for pornography, there is certainly no shortage elsewhere on the internet and, in the interest of protecting this resource, I agree completely with the webmaster's efforts to keep the site porn free. My only hope is that the free site is restored and those who have contributed to it and benefited from it will be able to do so in the future

Examine the owner's motives, first of all why would a foreigner maintain a website with donated contortion pics? He is obviously looking out for his own interests, to recruit new contortionists and get in touch with them. He doesn't need your petty donations, that's just a front and a cover, an excuse for having the website and all of you peons jump around when he shouts down the site. Typical foreigner, cranky old man behavior, who likes to watch young girls bend over backwards. To those who think George is enriching himself: I'm a business man and I know the amount of donation George is asking for will never pay for his efforts in maintaining the website. What George asks for is support, recognition and acknowledgment, which he deserves tremendously. George didn't close the site because people don't pay, he did it because people don't respect him. If you are a teenager who makes a few dollars from working for your parents occasionally, or working at McDonald's at minimum wage, we understand you expect all services to be free. In this case, just be understanding to other people and don't use foul language, and enjoy the free service George provides. Contribution doesn't have to be monetary, it can simply be respect.

This isn't right... This guy George is now making money out of the copyrighted material of other artists. He has lots and lots of pictures and videos on this paysite, and he is asking money for that.

Hi George, I'm not sure what happened, but I too was annoyed by all the 'adult-themed' images on picturama, so I support your decision. Maybe you should instate some moderators (trusted, paying members) that can delete pictures without having to vote. I believe there is something like that, with the trashcan-system, but that system doesn't seem to work well enough. Thank you for a great website. I know I miss the site and checked it every day. But all the stupid comments and bad pictures were getting to be too much and I can't with George's decision. I do hope that it returns eventually and we can keep it cleaner. If you do ever put the site up again, I have a few thoughts about things. Just my ideas that might help do away with all the filth that keeps showing up. Of course I have no idea how much work it would require so I'm just throwing things out there. 1) I would do away with the automatic votes for every 100 views of the picture, it seems to make it almost impossible to vote pictures out because the positive votes accumulate rapidly. 2) I think it might be beneficial if there were a couple of trustworthy people (George's pick of course) who could help supervise the site. It's very large and we can't expect George to take care of seeing and cleaning everything up so if there were a few more pairs of eyes keeping track then more objectional content could be dealt with. 3) In addition to that last idea, if it were possible for a couple people to delete comments it would be extremely beneficial. The comments written were as bad if not worse than the pictures. Obviously it would be wonderful if people would stop posting rude comments and pictures, but that's about as likely as people quit making viruses to destroy computers. Keep flexible everyone and maybe one day we can make picturama a contortion paradise :)

Picturama is the first thing I go to when I log on, and enjoy checking it several times each day, so I miss it terribly. But I can hardly blame George for becoming upset with people who disrespect others in so many ways, whether by posting inappropriate pictures or by making rude comments. I am trying, in a nice way, to remind everyone that all ages of enthusiasts and artists are encouraged to visit and participate at this site. Lustful comments by those visitors who are unable to control themselves do tremendous harm to the community and the art/entertainment form as a whole. These kinds of things scare away many wonderfully talented and gifted people who might otherwise participate, and whom the entire world might enjoy. The actions of a few hurt eveyone, and it upsets me as well. George, if you feel anything I have said in this post is inappropriate, please feel free to edit or delete as you feel necssary. I trust your judgement as always, and thank you for this place where all can meet and enjoy this art/entertainment form.

Is it possible to alter the automatic votes on the pictures? Like making the bonus votes from views be a larger amount like 250 or 500 rather than the 100 it is now? /20020910 --> just my opinion, but the blank & white backbend photo is unjustly in the trashcan. It's simply gorgeous, and in perfect taste, a beautiful body in a graceful pose, captured perfectly. It's a good example of nudity being part of the Art, and, luckily, I downloaded it before it got yanked. It's now my wallpaper, and even my wife can't disagree with that choice.

the trash is protected from viewing because it's trash, usually the pics there are for a reason. Just forget about seeing them.
